FARM LIFE CYCLE
I remember as a young man, my father holding a grain of wheat in his hand and saying, “If you think about it, it’s pretty simple what we do. We create a nutrient rich soil environment to plant this seed, nurture the seed, and harvest, and then we do it again…pretty simple isn’t it.” As I grew in the professional field of organizational development, I noticed that my fathers’ description of the ‘farming life cycle’ was very similar to the ‘employee life cycle.’
EMPLOYEE LIFE CYCLE
The story my father shared with me about the ‘farming life cycle’ is pretty similar to the one I tell my son today about the ‘employee life cycle’. “If you think about it, it’s pretty simple what we do. We create a cohesive and healthy environment for the organization, hire the right kind of people for the job so they can express their intrinsic talents, grow and nurture the people with continuous development, sustain their success to retirement, and hire/promote the next generation of talent in order to sustain a high performance culture…pretty simple isn’t it.”
At Big Sky Way – we like to take the complexity out of the work environment with tools and solutions that are

Leadership is the process of influencing and mobilizing others to accomplish extraordinary things. Only if a clear and cohesive culture is in place, and the right people are entrusted to lead, can a strong leadership culture thrive.
Consulting topics typically include leadership style awareness, employee engagement from the leader’s perspective, interpersonal communication, and performance tools for being a more complete leader.
